That's all folks

We had fun bringing you along on our cruise.  It's fun to gloat  :)   We finally got back to Sacramento at 11:00 at night (2:00 am Miami time) and we still had an hour and a half ride back to Jo's.   A long day but so much fun.

Off the boat waiting for our flight

We disembarked at 7:30 in the morning and our flight didn't leave until 5:50.  We decided to stow our luggage and take public transportation to Miami Beach.  We decided to have a Momosa (sp) at this little hotel on the beach and when we got the bill for 2 drinks...$45 (inc tip) we realized we were at the Ritz Carlton.  We acted like we paid that much all the time.  Here are some pictures from the beach and one of my favorite hotels.

PRETTY COOL, HUH...

Cozemel

Day 6: We have arrived in Cozemel and wow. It looks just like Fresno. Not really... there is some Spanish flair but not quite what I expected. We immediately got on what we now call the Ferry of Death. The ride was so rough, Gloria started getting seasick. They sold " seasick" medicine on board for $5. Gloria thought that you drank it but you were suppose to put it under your note. she drank it and immediate figured out something was really wrong. It tasted like castor oil sweetened with just a hint of ginger (gag...ack..aahhh) After our 35 minute ferry ride from hell to  Del Playa, we boarded a bus to go to Xcaret Park. Now this was awesome, wonderful, beautiful. Lots of birds, animals, sea creatures and the most beautiful beach we've ever seen. Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure .

No more posts until Saturday afternoon

We are out of internet minutes (too expensive)  will add all other photos and posts sat. afternoon when we get back to Miami airport

Day four rap up

We came back to the ship and slept for 3 hours (drinking, eating and touching dolphins is very hard work). We commenced trolling the ship looking for something fun (and free) to do, Everything really fun cost extra money, like casino gambling and the real fancy restaurants. they had this "guess the price of the Picasso" contest. They had a Picasso, a Peter Max and some other famous guy's painting displayed together. As a major art officianado, I asked her "which one is the Picasso". She sniffed and rolled her eyes. I kept telling her I was just kidding but couldn't even get a glint of humor from her. Oh well, so we're dorks.  Here is what they had displayed:

I guessed the price at $235,000.  The correct price was $145,000.  If you guessed it correctly, I think you got the Picasso??? or was it 8 bingo cards?

They had Rod Stuart, Brittany Spears and Michael Jackson look alikes each do a show. Amazing is all I can say. You would swear that they were the real thing.  I went to the photo galary and took a picture of the pictures displayed for sale. (probably not legal but I didn't get caught :)

We then went to the Bliss Bar, watched very bad Karaoke and then danced Salsa. Fun fun fun. Jo and I really rocked it - You know when you think you look so hot when you're dancing??? Well...we did!!
Today is just an "out to sea" day so we're just chilling.

After conquering our greatest fears on day 3 on the zip lines, we opted for a more relaxed excursion coupled with our life long dream of swiming with dolphins. It was overcast but hot and humid.

Day four

Woke up this morning pulling into Roatan Island, Honduras. What a difference compared to Costa Maya. Beautiful estates on the hill overlooking the Ocean. Crystal clear waters and so many colors. Just gorgeous. .Here are shots from our ship at port.

Please note the "up close" view of Jo"s face,  Please note, she was  200 feet  above the ground.  they pried her fingers off the hooks,  Youcouldn't really see Gloria's face but  her eyes were closed

Day three = shore excursions

Jo and Gloria decided that, in lieu of sitting on another beach for the day (ho hum) we would really test our adventurous selves.  We opted for the "jungle zip wire" whatever thingy.  We drove  almost 2 hours to the jungle and, along with 36 other people, got lifted up to a deck about 100 feet off the ground (scary) where we were tied to harnesses and zipped downhill a total of about 1/5th of a mile.  It was exhilarating and frightening.  Here are some pics.

Day one - fun in the sun

Day one (Sunday)  was....amazing for lack of a better word.  As proof that we did the major water slide, I have included the following pics.  We each had 3 "Sex on the Beach" drinks in order to enter the orange "tube of death"

Look closely at the faces of these brave woman after their death dives.  I'd say they weren't scared at all!!!

Big Ass TV

Believe it or not, this is the 1/4 mile inch screen TV that all the guys paid so much money to go on a cruise to sit in front of to watch foosball.

leaving Miami

Leaving Miami was a photo opp in itself.  The house below belongs to Donald Trumps????

Sail day

It was surprisingly easy to get on the ship,   With the exception of the cavity search, it was really fun.  This was the view from inside our room to the dock outside..

Travel Day one for Jo and Glo

Jo and I are finally settled in our hotel room at the Airport Mariott in Maimi.  We left Grass Valley this morning at 8:30 and flew out of Sacto at 12:30.  We had a -0- minute lay-over in Houston (literally) and arrived in Miami at 10:30 pm EST.   It was fun running from one plane in terminal C to make our connection in terminal E (about a 1/4 mile jog).  Because we are both in such fine shape, we barely broke a sweat (not!).  We met this beautiful young man, Marcelo, a genius working for Microsoft,  from Brazil on the plane so the 2 hour flight was quite enjoyable. We laughed a lot..  Jo is so happy to finally be here as evidenced by the following:

Day one (for Gloria, anyway)

One day before arriving at Jo's house to start our adventure, Gloria (me) was challenged to stay at a haunted hotel in Mokelumne Hill (6 miles outside of Jackson). I called and asked for the most haunted room they had. As it turns out, all the rooms had claims of hauntings and I had access to the entire hotel. I brought my ghost hunting equipment (infrared light, electro magnetic field detector, "super ear", an enhanced listening device, my video camera and a digital voice recorder. I had one personal experience (a door close on me) but....most interesting were these pictures.  I shot the picture and noticed something odd when it flashed and then took the pictures again.
